Staasia DanielsStaasia Daniels is a charming yet edgy singer and songwriter with a voice and style to match. Despite a trying life, she is full of infectious joy and energy, channeling her many feelings, struggles, and experiences into beautiful lyrics via lush vocals. But beyond the talent and poise that you see on stage, she’s just a shy girl who happens to shine brighter than the sun when she sings.

Her charisma is loved beyond borders, having performed with her label, GSX Music, in both Canada and the US. Her music has been spun on stations all over America before, including “No Matter What”, which landed Top 5 on “Most Rotated Independent Singles” in New Jersey. She’s won “YouTube Artist of September” for Australian magazine StarCentral, and was nominated just last year for “Best R&B Artist” back home at the Black Canadian Awards. Most recently, she just came back with her two label-mates from performing officially at SXSW, pleasing the audience with both a slow song and a turnt-up one, complete with dancing. Her versatility is truly adored and allows her to command any crowd.

Luckily for New Yorkers, she will be coming through with GSX on Friday, April 24. Her first show that very night will be at Five Spot in Brooklyn, at a party hosted by R&B singer Mario. Her second show will be on Tuesday, April 28, at the Amityville Music Hall in Long Island. Until the release of her debut project, “A Turtle In Limbo” (set to come out later this year), fans and strangers alike will have to satisfy their musical needs with her live shows that never seem to disappoint.

Follow her on social networks to keep up with the next shows; who knows, she may do a couple of open mics in the area!
