The All Music Lounge at The Space Gives Local Musicians a Stage

Westbury, NY (November, 2014) – The Space, the premier state of the art venue for all types of engagements in Nassau County, and All Music Inc, the musicians choice for quality equipment, rentals and lessons for over 30 years, are excited to announce a partnership for the new All Music Lounge at The Space, 250 Post Ave, Westbury NY.

The Lounge at The Space is like a second venue inside the same walls, with its own bar that can accommodate up to 125 patrons and can be used for receptions prior to special events, as well as for the presentation of musicians, comedians and other performers. The Lounge’s warm and inviting atmosphere is an ode to The Space’s former life as a movie theater, featuring a granite bar, lighting fixtures created from vintage movie reels and decorated with showcases which display antique film projectors. Plus, all of the shows on the main stage at The Space are also live streamed to be viewed at The Lounge at no cost to enter!

Some of the area’s top locally based musicians are booked throughout the Fall on Thursdays at The All Music Lounge, including: Pamela Betti with special guest Richie Cannatta on Thursday November 13th at 8pm, Half Step on Thursday November 20th at 8pm, then closed for Thanksgiving. In December, check out Kris Rice on Thursday December 4th, Steve Urban on Thursday December 11th and The Fearless on Thursday December 18th before we stop for Santa and the New Year. Then, January 2015 begins with Memphis Crawl on Thursday January 8th with more dates and bands to be announced.

The Space is the latest, and perhaps most spectacular example of visionary real estate developers who reinvent abandoned buildings; this time the almost century old Westbury Theater, and give them a new lease on life. Over their first year of existence, the venue has been blessed with amazing partners like concert promoters The Bowery Presents – who work hard at bringing the freshest and most inventive talent into the room – and with strong support and love from the local community. Some highlights from their first year of shows include performances by Billy Idol, Gavin Degraw, Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle, Moe, Comedian Chris D’ella, 3 Doors Down, Better Than Ezra, Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion, and many more! Each of these artists brought their own life and vibe to the facility. There have also been incredible Gala events with the Gold Coast Intl Film Festival and some of the most exquisite and extravagant private parties that the area has ever seen.

Many people have asked us if The Space is a Concert Hall, Lounge, Movie Theater or a spot to hold a special event. And the answer is: all of the above! The Space is the place where you can be different and unique. With some creativity and vision, you can turn The Space into the venue of your dreams and create a truly memorable event to last a lifetime. With flexible seating plans and state of the art light and sound systems, The Space provides an exciting palette for the creative producer, event, party and meeting. Anything is possible at The Space.

All Music has been Long Island’s premier guitar shop and music school for more than 30 years, creating lifelong musicians with a desire to be the best at their craft. Recently, the brand has taken real steps to stand out and distinguish themselves from the other chain music stores and schools with strategic partnerships and alliances.

With an extensive collection of new, vintage, rare and pre-owned instruments to fit any budget, it is no wonder that All Music Inc. has become Long Island’s premier music destination for professional musicians and people passionate about honing their craft. Thanks to their knowledgeable and experienced staff, All Music Inc. takes a personalized approach to all of your music needs so that you get what you want at the best price. Besides the vast array and sheer volume of merchandise on display, they also host regular clinics with renowned players from every style imaginable giving their customers entre’ and insight into those they look up to.

On the retail side, one of the exciting new developments include special agreements with PRS Guitars and Larivee Guitars which allows the All Music store in Plainview to be their only independent dealer on Long Island. There is also a similar deal with Suhr Guitars in the works. There is also a budding relationship between All Music and the World Famous Tattoo Lou’s; the All Music team has been involved with the booking and music production of the stage at the past three United Ink Tattoo/Art/Music festivals, as well as for their Poker Bike run and on other projects. Additionally, the All Music’s Rock N Roll University All Stars, comprised of some of the best students from the school, have performed at the aforementioned events and are slated to perform at both the United Ink Flight 914 at Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY on Saturday September 13th and the upcoming Resorts World Casino Festival next year at Aqueduct. The band also regularly performs at places like the Smithtown Festival and Patchogue’s Alive After Five. All Music will also be providing the backline for the WBAB Homegrown Superstar finals at The Emporium.

Founded in 2011, All Music’s Rock and Roll University in Hauppauge is a performance based rock and roll school where the students take private music lessons each week and then attend rehearsals which all lead up to live rock concerts in theaters around Long Island, New York. They have hosted their Big Concert Series at venues like Theatre Three in Port Jefferson and The Boulton Center in Bayshore.

Also on the school side, speaking to the talent and skill of both the teachers and students, one can look at their authentic sounding Led Zeppelin tribute ZoFolk currently touring Long Island, and the case of Brandon “Taz” Niederaur, an 11 year old guitar prodigy who after careful tutelage at the school has already been covered on ABC News, in Newsday, on Verizon Fios1 and on the Ellen Degeneres show, performed at Citifield at a NY Mets game and even caught the eye of Rock N Roll Hall of Famer Gregg Allman who recently brought him up on stage to perform with the legendary Allman Brothers Band during Jam Cruise.
