Only Two Weeks Left to Support!

Joey Sykes’ “Classic New Rock” Album To Be Released WITH YOUR HELP!

Los Angeles, CA (August, 2015) — Having had a great deal of success in the music industry performing with the likes of Bryan Adams, Eurythmics, Don Henley of “Eagles” fame, John Entwistle of “The Who” fame, and even Paul Stanley of KISS- rocker Joey Sykes began his road to stardom with the bands Boystown and later Coward, whose self-titled debut album saw the band on MTV and Touring with Third Eye Blind in the late 1990’s. Now, having had such a great deal of success playing, writing and recording, having his songs placed in over 50 Network TV shows like ABC’s “Nashville” and the WB’s “Everwood”, and currently as guitarist for rock group The Babys (Having wrote  their first single “I See You There”) he’s looking for some help from his fans with his next album as the INDIEGOGO campaign Joey Sykes ‘Classic New Rock” Album Project has only TWO WEEKS TO GO!

With his time in Boystown and Coward behind him, Sykes continued in stride as he moved from New York to California (where he currently resides) and played with Capitol Recording Artist Tommy Henriksen, where the first single off his album was placed in the hit motion picture “Blast From the Past”. Later playing with another Capitol Artist – Meredith Brooks (“I’m A Bitch”) – and her massive band consisting of Herman Matthews on Drums (Tom Jones, Tower of Power, Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx), Will Hollis on keys (currently playing in the Eagles, Don Henley), and Mark Meadows on bass (Edgar Winter, John Waite), he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream playing the Madison Square Garden stage. Touring the US and Europe with Brooks, Sykes also had the great opportunity to play the Staples Center along with a host of TV appearances from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to The Rosie O’Donnel show.

Now, as he prepares to complete his new record “Classic New Rock”, Joey seems more excited than ever. In the video of his IndieGoGo campaign asking for fans help in completing the project, Sykes explains “I was able to choose from maybe 30/35 contenders (for tracks) and I narrowed it down to 11. I’m excited, I think it’s going to be a really really strong record. The drums are already recorded, and most of the guitars” continuing “I had the great fortune of having some of the music industry’s elite drummers play on this record”. Some of them include Kenny Aronoff (John Fogerty, Rod Stewart), Josh Freese (Devo, The Replacements, Bruce Springsteen), Tony Brock (Roy Orbison, Elton John, The Babys, Rod Stewart), and more! With a long list of great perks and incentives for fans willing to donate to the campaign–which has a goal of raising $25,000–some of them include downloading the album before it is officially released, being thanked in the liner notes, a signed vinyl copy, a private live performance, and even writing a custom song in a genre of your choice where you will be listed as a co-writer and get 50% residuals if it is placed in TV or Film!
