Complimentary Concert and Fireworks at The Pennysaver Amphitheater this Saturday!
Farmingville, NY –The Town of Brookhaven and JVC Broadcasting would like to say “thank you Long Island” for a great summer season at the Pennysaver Amphitheater by presenting the largest complimentary concert and World Class Grucci fireworks spectacular on Long Island, on Labor Day weekend – Saturday August 30th at the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill in Farmingville.
The event will feature performances by Captain Jack, one of the nation’s top Billy Joel tribute bands, and UnCovered, a regional main stream classic hits band that has a huge local following, followed by a pyrotechnics display presented by Fireworks by Grucci.
“Thanks to the generous contribution from the folks at JVC we are able to present this world class show free, and make this night of family entertainment available to all Long Islanders”, said Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine.
This complimentary event will be the largest fireworks show of its kind in the area, and is the only event of its type happening on Labor Day weekend. Fireworks events at Bald Hill have attracted over 15,000 Long Island families to the Amphitheater and surrounding area in the past. The synchronized music selection for the THANK YOU Bash will be simulcast on LI News Radio 103.9 FM.
John Caracciolo, President of Long Island Events and CEO of JVC Broadcasting (home of LI News Radio) said, “Thanks to our partners like The Town of Brookhaven, Pepsi, Island Federal Credit Union, and The Pennysaver publication, we were able to produce and present this free family event for all to enjoy”.
Gates open at 5pm, the concert starts at 5:30 pm and fireworks start at 9:30 pm. Permanent seating and lawn seating is available. No food or beverages are permitted at the Amphitheater, a full concession is available as well as wine tasting area. The Pennysaver Amphitheater is located at 1 Ski Run Lane in Farmingville. Fireworks by Grucci is based in Brookhaven Town and produces over 300 performances annually all around the world. They have an international reputation of expertise in producing state-of-the-art firework programs and they were the first American firm to win the Gold Medal at the Monte Carlo International Fireworks Competition.
