This is the second time we’ve had the privilege to chat with Shayne. Read on as she shares her love of music and food. Rock it out Shayne…rock it out! Listen to Groovy Foodie Favorite “Dream of You”.

Congratulations on your new EP Invincible. Your vocals are so strong especially on “Midnight Man” and your reboot of Pat Benatar’s “Invincible”. How long have you been singing?

Thanks so much! I’m so happy to hear you like “Midnight Man”! And it’s such an honor to be able to sing Pat. I’ve been singing seriously since I was about fourteen, but I didn’t figure out who I was as an artist until very recently (like in the past three years, or so).

There is so much beautiful emotion in “Dream of You”. Can you tell us what inspires you to make music?

Thank you for your kind words on “Dream Of You”! I think music is just another extension of myself (as my writing is), and sometimes I just need to bleed in that way. When I’m lost in recording or on stage, I’m on another plane. It’s cathartic. It’s like painting, when one can’t paint. I’m inspired to make music because of a selfish need to do so. If you guys like it, that’s just a major plus!

You’ll be on the “Rock It Like a Redhead Tour”. Tell us a little about the tour and where you’ll be traveling.

The “Rock It Like a Redhead Tour” is the crazy fun brainchild of Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti, two sisters who founded the beauty organization, “How To Be A Redhead”. The event tour will incorporate beauty, fashion, and music. We will be traveling to Austin, Nashville, Seattle, Chicago, and NYC in 2015!

If you could interview a Famous Person who would it be and why?

That’s a tough question. There are so many people I’d love to talk to and get advice from. It’s a tie between Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Lita Ford, and the Wilson Sisters.

You are a gorgeous redhead, gifted singer, fashionista and author….but are you a foodie?

I am such a foodie. And I’m not just-saying that. My free time is comprised to scouring Pinterest for rustic peach and strawberry tarts, and other delicious things. Plus, the other half of my family is from the Czech Republic. My mother-in-law lays it down in the kitchen. Needless to say…I have a lot to learn.
